Responsibilities
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the WIC Site in accordance with the policies, procedures, rules, regulations, and guidelines set forth by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) and Montefiore.
- Supervises the WIC staff at the agency’s site.
- Reports directly to the WIC Program Coordinator/Director.
- Applies the rules and regulations of the USDA, the NYSDOH, and MMG.
- Ensures adherence to all regulations of confidentiality and patient safety as required by federal HIPPA regulations, USDA, the NYSDOH, and MMG.
- Ensure that the WIC Program staff at the site adhere to all safety, health code and dress code rules and regulations.
- Responsible for the Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement of the WIC site.
- Adheres to the WIC Program Local Agency Compliance and Self-Assessment as required by the NYSDOH.
- Implements, supervises, and updates WIC site staff on policies, procedures, goals, objectives, and services as needed. Supervise in training and education of the newly hired WIC staff.
- Required to complete at least 24 hours of continuing education every three years.
Salary : $64,000 - $80,000
