Monte Cassino School is seeking a full-time Preschool Lead Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a five-day position for an energetic, nurturing, and flexible educator who loves working with young children and thrives in a collaborative school community.
The Preschool Lead Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom that supports young children's growth through play-based learning, intentional instruction, and strong relationships.
Educator duties and responsibilities:
• Serve as a lead teacher in a preschool classroom, working five days per week
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum
• Foster a classroom environment that supports social-emotional development, independence, and curiosity
• Build strong, positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
• Collaborate with early childhood team members and school administration
• Maintain a well-organized, welcoming classroom environment
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities
Qualifications:
Educator Qualifications:
• Early Childhood degree preferred (or related field)
• Experience working with preschool-aged children in a classroom setting
• Energetic, flexible, and enthusiastic about early childhood education
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• A genuine love for children and an understanding of child development
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
