Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook grilled items including meats, vegetables, and seafood following established recipes and menu specifications
• Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, and food prep stations safely and efficiently
• Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitizing procedures throughout all stages of food handling and preparation
• Assist in menu planning by providing input on ingredient selection and preparation methods
• Ensure food production meets quality standards for taste, appearance, and portion control
• Support the dietary department by adhering to dietary restrictions and special meal requirements when necessary
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with health regulations

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a dietary aide or in food service, preferably with fine dining or high-volume production experience
• Strong knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures
• Skilled in various cooking techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and meal preparation
• Proficient in operating kitchen equipment safely and effectively
• Excellent knife skills with the ability to handle food handling tasks efficiently
• Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and food production processes
• Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
• Restaurant or catering experience is highly desirable; culinary experience is a plus

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
