What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grill Cook/Line Cook position at Efi's Gyro?
Efi's Gyro is looking to hire prep cooks and line cooks! Situated at Newport Green Park, Efi's is an ideal place to begin a culinary career or continue a career path with a new team.
Ideal candidates will have 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen and preferably completed a form of professional culinary training (or in the process of completion).
You will help check kitchen stock for fresh ingredients and supplies, prepare components before each meal service, and ensure the work area is clean and ready. During service, you will plate and garnish dishes that are ready to be served to our customers.
Line Cook Duties and Responsibilities
- Check inventory for ingredients and supplies, noting when more need to be ordered
- Prepping ingredients before each meal service
- Preparing dishes following exact recipe instructions
- Plating and garnishing dishes before they are served
- Cleaning work areas once meal service is done
- Grill and work the vertical broiler
- Set up before opening
- Clean after closing
- Rotating shifts
Job Types: Part Time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Cooking: 2 years (Required)
- Restaurant Experience: 2 years (Required)
