We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Heavy Equipment Diesel Inspector to join our team in. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of heavy equipment including excavators, dumptrucks, tractors trailers, and other industrial machinery using detailed schematics and diagnostic tools.
- Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, HVAC systems, and electrical systems to ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other maintenance tools to execute repairs and fabrication tasks.
- Diagnose complex issues related to automotive electrical systems, diesel engines, powertrains, and mechanical systems using automotive diagnostics techniques.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, parts used, and service history for each piece of equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot problems involving heavy truck repair, service technician tasks, and vehicle mechanics tailored for truck drivers.
- Ensure all repairs meet safety standards such as air brake systems compliance and proper alignment procedures while adhering to manufacturer specifications.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership experience or extensive background in heavy equipment mechanics with a focus on diesel engine repair.
- Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques along with experience working on excavators, dump trucks,tractor trailers industrial equipment,
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals related to heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
- Hands-on experience with automotive electrical system repair, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes (including air brakes), HVAC systems, and welding.
- Mechanical knowledge of transmissions and vehicle maintenance procedures specific to heavy trucks and farm machinery.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, power lifts or hoists for heavy lifting tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to perform precise diagnostics using automotive diagnostics tools.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate clearly about technical issues to team members or clients.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining high safety standards.
