What are the responsibilities and job description for the Visitor Services and Development Associate position at Montana Nonprofit Association?
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Visitor Services and Development Associate attends to and corresponds with visitors, donors, and members and provides information regarding the museum and its programs to the general public. This position is in charge of directing external communications to appropriate staff, as well as completing a variety of administrative and event preparation duties and maintaining the membership and donor database and mailings. Visitor Services and Development Associate is also responsible for supporting the Executive Director and staff with fundraiser events, such as our premier arts and music festival Arts in the Park, exhibits, external marketing and communications, and assistance with education programs for all ages. This position must be friendly and welcoming to visitors, dependable, trustworthy, discrete, strong attention to detail, and organized. The Visitor Services and Development Associate must also be a positive ‘first face’ to our public and partners, and be able to work well in a professional, collaborative, fast-paced, team environment.
Candidates must have excellent communication and organization skills and be very adept and comfortable with digital technology and computer software systems. Previous administrative, reception, development, communications, and event experience preferred. We are willing to train museum-specific job functions for the right candidate.
