Montana Knife Company is seeking a Director of Marketing to lead our next phase of growth. This is a senior leadership role for a builder and strategist focused on scaling a premium brand through disciplined execution, rigorous analytics, and a relentless focus on results.
We are looking for a proven leader who has successfully scaled a brand from $50M to $200M in revenue, specifically within a high-growth Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) environment. You will own the growth engine across Shopify and paid media, building repeatable systems that drive efficient revenue and long-term brand equity.
Key Responsibilities
- Growth Strategy: Own and execute the end-to-end marketing strategy across acquisition, conversion, retention, and revenue expansion.
- Performance Management: Drive performance across Shopify, paid media, email, and SMS, with a focus on improving ROAS and customer acquisition efficiency.
- Data & Forecasting: Build robust forecasting models, KPI dashboards, and reporting systems to make growth measurable and actionable.
- Testing & Optimization: Lead a disciplined testing culture across creative, channels, and funnels to identify and scale winning growth levers.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with the CMO, creative, and ecommerce teams to align marketing initiatives with broader company goals.
- Operational Excellence: Translate growth insights into repeatable processes that support a rapidly scaling business.
Qualifications
- Experience: 8 years in performance marketing or ecommerce leadership, with a track record of scaling brands from $50M to $200M.
- Technical Expertise: Deep proficiency in Shopify, DTC marketing tools, and full-funnel digital growth levers.
- Analytical Rigor: Strong financial mindset with experience in attribution, media mix modeling, and lifetime value analysis.
- Strategic Leadership: Ability to manage substantial budgets with high accountability and a focus on profitable growth.
