What are the responsibilities and job description for the Print Shop & Mailroom Assistant position at Montana-Dakota Utilities Co?
Responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day-to-day work routine for self and others. Moves and unpacks materials, envelopes, computer forms, paper and other items. Operates and maintains high volume inserting equipment to process customer bill statements that are generated daily. Processes customer bill statements in a manner that meets all regulatory requirements, are properly postmarked and accounted for. Assists in other areas of the print shop and mailroom as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or G.E.D.; and
One year experience in print shop, mailroom or freight operations.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.
Required to maintain a valid driver’s license.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorship considered.
Subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with manual or powered freight moving equipment.
Demonstrated ability to safely operate and troubleshoot large volume inserting equipment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITES
Unloads freight. Moves and unpacks materials, envelopes, computer forms, paper, supplies and other items.
Conducts inventory and reports findings to United States Postal Service on a recurring basis.
Records and audits postage meter funds and volume of bill statements mailed. Verifies accuracy of daily postage reports.
Creates and maintains spreadsheets for postage costs. Monitors and initiates payment requests for various methods of postage payments including postage meter, Business Reply accounts, and Postage Due account. Transfer funds from prepaid account to postage meter as needed.
Assembles and meters Customer Welcome Packets for Great Plains Natural Gas Company and Montana-Dakota Utilities Co.
Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.
