A day in the life:
As the Sr Director, Supply Planning - North America, you will lead the demand planning function, ensuring strategic alignment with company goals. Manage statistical forecasting and manual demand overrides. Optimize financial performance through executive leadership exposure, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and presenting insights to senior management for informed decision-making.
The impact you'll make:
- Lead an all-inclusive demand planning function across North America, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals. Develop, implement and evolve demand planning strategies that enhance operational efficiency and support business growth.
- Own the statistical forecast processes, guiding near-term forecasting and drive long-range demand planning. Utilize advanced statistical models and analytics to predict national and regional product demand, ensuring optimal inventory levels and minimizing costs.
- Work analogously with sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain teams to ensure that demand forecasts align with business objectives. Facilitate communication between departments to integrate demand planning into overall business strategy.
- Oversee demand planning processes that impact over $5 billion in sales, optimizing financial performance and ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends and patterns. Conduct scenario planning to assess the impact of various factors on demand, aiding in risk management and strategic decision-making.
- Engage with executive leadership, providing critical insights and recommendations that influence strategic decisions.
- Ensure that demand planning activities are aligned synchronously with sales initiatives and broader objectives.
- Present a comprehensive demand plan to senior management and stakeholders, supporting informed decision making regarding inventory management, production scheduling, and resource allocation.
Who you are:
- Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in the field of -- Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Statistics, or related field
- More than 7 years of experience in demand planning management
- Between 3-5 years of experience in Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process flow and management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical and statistical skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools and forecasting software. Experience with Integrated Business Planning (IBP) systems, including Key Performance Indicator (KPI) and alert functions familiarity.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive strategic initiatives.
