We are seeking a general construction craftsman for various projects and building maintenance for the Facilities Department

What You’ll Do
You will…
- Perform general construction and maintenance of nursery structures.
- Carry out projects and directions according to directives from Department Manager and Team Leader.
- Communicate any anticipated obstacles or delays to management in a timely manner.
- Ensure a safe working environment in all aspects of our construction operations
- Perform other related duties to benefit the mission of the company as assigned.
- Walking, lifting to 65 lbs. bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching are part of the essential job functions.
- Participates in MNQ process improvement to improve quality, improve safety, and reduce cost.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet department and nursery requirement needs.

- Excellent math skills with strong attention to detail and number accuracy.
- Ability to effectively and professionally interact with a diverse workforce.
- Must be able to work under inclement weather conditions (hot, cold, and rain).
- The ability to multi-task, follow-through and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have a basic knowledge of hand power tools such as drills, saws, air nail gun etc.
- Be open to feedback.
- Must have great punctuality and be highly organized.
- Willing to learn new skills and jobs.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English highly desirable but not required.
- Enjoy working in a team environment and being supportive of co-workers.
- Have experience driving tractor, forklift or heavy equipment.
- Experience in any form of construction including carpentry, woodworking, framing, etc.
- Must be available to work the following schedule:
- Monday- Friday- 7:30am to 5pm.
- Saturday: 7:30 to 2:30pm
