The Human Resources Coach is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function at the nursery. About the Role:
Monrovia is seeking a Human Resources Coach for our Cairo GA nursery. The Human Resources Coach is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function at the nursery. The Human Resource Coach is responsible for meeting all human resource requirements including staffing, benefits, safety, training and other traditional human resources roles.
What You'll Do................
- Collaborates with nursery leadership to define the achievement of the nursery’s long-term goals.
- Manages and coordinates the onboarding process, including recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants for nursery.
- Collaborates with the VP, Human Resources to ensure nursery human resource strategic goals are in line with companywide goals.
- Provides guidance to all coaches on Monrovia policies and procedures.
- Maintains knowledge and ensures compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements.
- Drafts and implements the budget for the human resource department.
- Manages state and federal leave of absences for the nursery, i.e., FMLA, CFRA, PDL, PFL.
- Collaborates with the Nursery Coach and Department coaches in reviewing labor hours from previous year and assist in capturing their labor needs for the budget. This is done in Vena.
- Guides coaches when handling employee performance and behavioral matters providing direction or suggestions for improvement for future discussions.
- Manages and documents craftsmen grievances and conducts investigations (if applicable) for the nursery.
- Works with VP of Human Resources and outside legal counsel, as necessary, on employee claims, issues and investigations and takes part in legal matters of employment.
- Supplies personnel records requested in subpoenas; notifies management of these requests.
- Coordinates with Team Coordinator back up during leaves or extended absences.
- Facilitates the completion of performance reviews and uses the completed forms for succession planning and training plans.
- Manages the nursery’s benefit program, encouraging widespread participation.
- Oversee the nursery’s Health and Well-Being Program.
- Manages and monitors the training of all nursery craftsmen including orientation and advanced programs.
- Collaborate with Nursery Coach on the guidelines for annual wage increases for the nursery.
- Conducts mandated supervisory training including, Sexual Harassment, Violence in the Workplace, Heat Illness Prevention Training, etc.
- Manages and monitors job descriptions for the nursery.
- Collaborates with the company human resource team and works on companywide projects and initiatives as needed.
- Participate in professional development and networking conferences and events.
- Applies and models the principles of MNQ/Lean Six Sigma in all activities to ensure continuous improvement in all departmental processes.
- Ensures nursery operations are compliant with Co-Employment regulations with agency contract labor as they pertain to the ACA Federal and State regulations.
- Performs other related duties to benefit the mission of the company as assigned.

- A bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of human resource experience, or at least 7 years of experience in the HR field.
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or HRCI credential is desired.
- Bilingual English/Spanish in verbal and written strongly desired.
- HCM experience preferred.
