Monroeville Music is a welcoming, community-centered music studio located right on Old William Penn Highway in Monroeville, PA. We are passionate about helping students of all ages discover confidence, creativity, and joy through music. Our programs meet families where they are—from the very beginning of their musical journey through advanced study:
- Private lessons on a wide range of instruments
- Music Together® Babies, Mixed Ages, and Rhythm Kids® classes (birth–age 8)
- Play-based, Suzuki-inspired group classes for young beginners (age 4 )
- Ensembles, jam opportunities, and creative workshops for all ages and levels

Who We’re Looking For
Our ideal candidate:
- Has a degree in music (or is a current upper level music student)
- Has teaching experience (group &/or private)
- Loves working with all ages
- Plays or sings and teaches confidently in a range of genres
- Brings a warm, engaging, collaborative energy to lessons
- Views music as a tool for fun, connection, and personal growth
- Wants to be part of a highly professional and inspiring team
- Has strong customer service and client communication skills
- Has consistent, reliable transportation to the studio
Bonus Skills:
- Accompanying students on piano
- Music arranging experience
- Background in pedagogy or music education
- Plays multiple instruments
- Has experience performing or leading ensembles
What You’ll Be Doing
- Teaching private and group lessons to adults and children
- Supporting the development of our private lesson department and curriculum
- Helping with new client scheduling and communication
- Assisting with Monroeville Music’s special events and recitals
- Assisting with social media content or community engagement (optional)
Schedule & Commitment
- Availability for at least 2 days/week during peak times (Mon–Thurs 4–8 PM, Fri 4–6:30 PM, Sat 9 AM–1 PM)
- Teachers are expected to check email daily—although communication is pretty minimal - timely responsiveness is essential for success in the role
- Attendance required for recitals and studio events with your students performing
- Minimum 1-year commitment (with opportunities to grow long-term)
Starting Compensation
- $25–$35/hr for private & small group lessons
- $35–$45/hr for group classes
- $15/hr for meetings, training, administrative tasks, and event attendance
