Private Instructor - Voice

Looking instructors to fulfill an open spot or 2 at our studio for private and group lessons. We are actively accepting applications for Instructors in Voice and Piano. Preferably one who is actively playing/gigging around the Pittsburgh area currently who has a passion for teaching!

*Piano for lessons - You do not need to be an accompanist level pianist - simply be an awesome teacher who can play enough to teach the beginner level fundamentals of Piano. Up to Intermediate/Advanced would be a bonus.

*Voice - All level of voice - a degree in voice OR minor would be preferred. We are actively searching for someone who can take all levels of voice and not just beginners. A strong Musical Theater background strongly encouraged.

Our studio offers lessons to ALL ages - starting as young as 6 years old for Piano if the student is able to learn on an instrument of appropriate size. Voice students can start around 7/8 years old and older. We also have lessons for Adult students as well.

Requirements -
1. Hold a Bachelors Degree or Higher in Music
2. Advanced Vocal Technique with Decent Piano Basics (General Music Theory, Scales, Arpeggios, Chords ... etc) for Voice Instruction
3. Passionate about training up the next generation of Musicians
4. Reliable transportation to/from studio
5. Available to teach on a Monday, Tuesdays, Wednesday or Thursday (afternoon is a possibility - evening hours are a must)(Current studio hours are M-Th 4-9pm) - All teachers start on ONE day and can extended to more days as their students schedules increase.

6. Ability to teach in a 1:1 setting
7. Good sense of Humor (We like Punny Folks around Here)
8. Easy going personality who is also organized
9. Punctuality and Communication is a must!
10. Able to use an internet based software on phone/computer/tablet to enter in attendance and schedule for record purposes (Opus1.io)
11. Is comfortable teaching on a Digital Piano for in person lessons at the studio (OR Online lessons via FaceTime, Google Meet Or Zoom if requested by student due to sickness or prior arrangement)

*This is a W2 Part-Time Employee Position*

All candidates will need to obtain OR already have ALL PA teaching clearances prior to being hired and placed on the schedule to Instruct:

• Act 34 - PA Criminal History Report
• Act 151 - PA Child Abuse Clearance
• FBI Criminal History Report (Fingerprinting)

If you are unable to obtain these clearances then please do not apply for this open position - we do not allow anyone to teach without them on file at the studio.
