Monroeville Kia is looking for an experienced Kia/Hyundai technician or current Shop Foreman who is ready to take the next step.If you're already the technician everyone comes to when they have a difficult diagnosis, electrical problem, comeback, or a vehicle they simply can't figure out, we want to talk to you.
This is a Working Shop Foreman position. You'll still get your hands dirty, but your primary responsibility is helping make the entire shop more productive and successful.
SALARY PRODUCTION BONUS
Forget worrying about losing flagged hours every time you stop to help another technician.
This position offers a guaranteed weekly salary PLUS a monthly production bonus based on the total sold labor hours of the entire shop.
When the shop produces more — you make more.Your earning potential is directly connected to your ability to lead, train, diagnose, organize, and keep work moving through the shop.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Lead and support a team of technicians
- Assist technicians with difficult diagnostics and repairs
- Step in on challenging Kia/Hyundai electrical and drivability concerns
- Help keep repair orders moving through the shop
- Identify stalled jobs and help develop a game plan
- Assist with dispatch and workload distribution
- Support technicians with Kia technical information and Techline
- Review difficult repairs and comeback concerns
- Help develop less-experienced technicians
- Improve technician productivity and proficiency
- Maintain quality repair standards
- Perform hands-on diagnosis and repairs when necessary
- Work directly with Service Management to improve overall shop performance
WHO WE WANT
We're looking for someone with Kia or Hyundai dealership experience.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Kia and/or Hyundai dealership technician experience
- Strong electrical and diagnostic abilities
- Advanced or Master Technician experience preferred
- Previous foreman, team leader, or shop leadership experience preferred
- Strong understanding of manufacturer diagnostic procedures
- Ability to work with technicians of different skill levels
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- A team-first mentality
- Desire to develop technicians instead of competing against them for hours
THE OPPORTUNITY
Our service operation currently has a 9-technician team, and we're looking for the right technical leader to help take the shop to the next level. We aren't looking for someone to sit behind a desk and watch numbers. We want someone who can walk into the shop, recognize where we're losing production, help technicians overcome problems, keep vehicles moving, and build a stronger technical team. In return, we're building the compensation around that responsibility.
