POSITION TITLE:                         Attendance Secretary

Starting Pay:                               $17.00/hr.

CONTRACT LENGTH:                   10 ½  months

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:         Assistant Principal

POSITION SUMMARY:                 

Maintains all student attendance and membership records and performs clerical duties for the Assistant Principal.

DUTIES:                                           

Records student absences and maintains student attendance records.  Answers inquiries from parents, students, teachers, regarding a particular student’s attendance record.  Assist with locker assignments.  Prepares periodic reports such as membership, average attendance, etc. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:                        

High school graduate (or equivalent) and 3-6 months successful clerical experience.  Knowledge of standard office procedures, ability to learn SBCSC policies and procedures related to absenteeism, attendance, tardiness.  Must be able to type accurately; ability to spell correctly and use proper grammar; ability to maintain accurate orderly records; ability to deal with students, parents and teachers.  Computer knowledgeable. Skills test may be required.

Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 25 lbs., sit, stand, walk, speak, hear and use close vision.
