Location: Rochester, NY Category: Student Employment Job Type: Part Time Posted On: Fri Jul 10 2026 Job Description:Function of Position:The Housing Office Assistants help to manage the day-to-day tasks of the Housing & Residence Life office. Because the Housing Office is a small team, office assistants will support Housing goals by providing front end office coverage, assist with daily tasks such as mail sorting and delivery, management and organization of storage spaces, and other tasks as assignedThis position is funded exclusively through Federal Work Study (FWS). Applicants must be approved by the Financial Aid Office for FWS eligibility prior to being considered for employment. Applicants must include their M# in any correspondence with the Financial Aid Office.Examples of Duties & Responsibilities:

• Respond to telephone an in-person inquiries with excellent customer service
• Complete daily office tasks, such as mail organization and delivery
• Manage, inventory, and organize storage spaces
• Assist with large scale tasks and event setup
• Other duties as assignedMCC Expectations:

Job Requirements:Required Qualifications:

• Must be currently enrolled as a student at Monroe Community College
• Must maintain satisfactory academic progress and be in good academic standing
• Federal Work Study eligibility is required for FWS-funded positions (must be approved by the Financial Aid Office prior to hire)
• May be required to lift objects weighing 25 pounds or below and move short distancesPreferred Qualifications:
• Experience as a student leader (Resident Assistant, Peer Navigator, club officer) preferred
• Bilingual and able to read, write, and speak Spanish, or other languages, proficiently
