What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher of the Deaf - for Extended School Year Programs position at Monroe #1 BOCES?
This is for an Extended School Year (ESY) program and is considered a BOCES ESY position.

LOCATION OF POSITION: Fairport NY 14450; Various Locations
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: July 9, 2026 - August 19, 2026; Hours TBD by location. A mandatory planning meeting may be scheduled per program assigned in. For all BOCES Programs Pre and Post summer trainings and set-up as directed.
Mandatory Summer Set-Up Meetings
June 2nd = Transition/Employment
June 3rd = O'Connor Academy, eStart, Creekside (BPA Unit TES Staff)
June 10th = Creekside (BUP Unit), Bird/Morgan
SALARY RANGE: $32.33 - $52.43 per hour (or higher pending contract negotiations) or your 2026-27 rate in this title for current Monroe One Boces staff

- Actual Salary Is Dependent Upon Education, Experience and Contract.
- Implement services to meet goals/objectives of student IEP.
- Participate in team meetings and classroom related activities of the summer program.
- Generate summary reports, or other required paperwork within the scope of the summer program.
- Work collaboratively with Teachers/Classroom Teams/Program Administrators.
- NYS Certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing required.
- Applicants must commit to working the full 30-day Summer Program.
- If assigned to BOCES programs, attend a mandatory planning day.
- Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation).
Salary : $32 - $52
