What are the responsibilities and job description for the YouTube Content Intern position at Monocacy Wealth Management?
YouTube Content Intern
Hybrid: In-Person Remote | Paid
Location: Arlington, VA, Hybrid (1–2 in-person filming days/week remote editing)
Compensation: $15/hr (paid)
Time Commitment: 10–15 hours/week
Duration: 3–6 months (potential to extend)
About the Role
We’re building a behind-the-scenes YouTube channel documenting real entrepreneurship, real decision-making, and the process of building businesses in real time.
We’re looking for a YouTube Content Intern who wants hands-on ownership in growing a channel, not just editing clips, but shaping the story, pacing, and feel of the content.
You’ll work directly with the founder (on-camera talent), filming in-person and editing remotely, with the goal of publishing one strong YouTube video per week.
This channel is stylistically similar to creators like Ryan Serhant, Dan Martell, Iman Gadzhi (Unscripted), and Alex Costa (Behind The Business)—but with a heavier behind-the-scenes and documentary feel.
All necessary equipment can be provided.
What You’ll Own
- Film run-and-gun, office-style YouTube content (1–2 days/week in person)
- Collaborate on video ideas and story structure
- Hooks, pacing, and overall flow
- Edit long-form YouTube videos (8–15 minutes)
- Clean cuts, strong pacing, light graphics
- Manage the weekly upload process
- Titles, descriptions, thumbnails (simple but effective)
- Help maintain consistency and creative quality
- Review basic YouTube analytics and suggest improvements over time
This is an end-to-end role. You’ll see how an idea becomes a finished video that goes live.

This role is a great fit for a student or recent grad who:
- Loves YouTube and studies what makes videos engaging
- Is interested in content, storytelling, or digital media
- Is curious about entrepreneurship and business
- Wants real creative responsibility
You don’t need a massive following or years of experience, but you do need strong editing fundamentals and good creative instincts.
Requirements
- Experience editing video (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, CapCut, Descript, etc.)
- Comfortable filming with a camera and capturing clean audio
- Reliable weekly availability
- Organized, deadline-driven, and coachable
- Willing to take feedback and iterate quickly
Nice to Have (Not Required)
- Experience running your own YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram
- Interest in business, finance, or creator economy content
- Basic thumbnail design skills (Canva, Photoshop)
What You’ll Get
- Paid internship ($15/hr)
- Direct exposure to real entrepreneurship and content creation
- Creative ownership you can point to in your portfolio
- Strong portfolio pieces for future jobs or freelance work
- Letter of recommendation for strong performance
- Opportunity to grow into a long-term role if it’s a fit
