Responsibilities
- Engage in outside sales activities by visiting clients on-site, presenting product demos, and conducting consultations for renovation, remodeling, and interior design projects
- Utilize SketchUp, CAD, and lighting design tools to create detailed layout plans that align with client specifications and project requirements
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and upselling opportunities to maximize sales revenue while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Provide inside sales support through customer service interactions at the retail location, assisting customers with lighting sales, product selection, and merchandising strategies
- Manage account relationships by maintaining ongoing communication, handling inquiries about maintenance or remodeling projects, and ensuring client needs are met effectively
- Conduct product demos showcasing lighting solutions, interior design options, and remodeling services to prospective clients
- Support marketing efforts by organizing product displays, merchandising items effectively, and promoting high-end sales initiatives
Experience
- Proven experience in outside sales within the construction or renovation industry is highly preferred
- Familiarity with layout design software such as SketchUp or CAD is essential for creating accurate project plans
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful upselling in high-end sales environments
- Knowledge of lighting design principles and experience selling lighting products or solutions
- Multilingual abilities to communicate effectively with diverse customer groups are advantageous
- Experience in retail sales environments involving product demos, merchandising, POS systems, cash handling, and customer service is beneficial
- Organizational skills to manage multiple accounts simultaneously while maintaining detailed records of transactions and client interactions
