Position Overview

The Director of Marketing will serve as a strategic leader and primary client partner, overseeing the development and execution of integrated marketing initiatives across a national portfolio. This role is responsible for guiding brand vision, elevating creative output, and ensuring every campaign is executed with intention and excellence.


Blending strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, the Director will manage key client relationships, lead cross-functional teams, and drive marketing performance while maintaining the highest standards of brand consistency and innovation. The ideal candidate brings a refined perspective, strong business acumen, and a passion for shaping elevated experiences within the multifamily space.


This is a hybrid role, with a preference for candidates based in the DC/MD/VA area to support occasional in-person team and client meetings. Our office is located in Timonium, MD.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary marketing lead and trusted advisor for a portfolio of national multifamily clients
  • Define and lead comprehensive marketing strategies, aligning brand positioning with business objectives and leasing performance
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of marketing initiatives—from concept through execution—ensuring quality, consistency, and impact
  • Guide and elevate creative direction across all deliverables, including digital, print, environmental, and experiential marketing
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire internal team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and creative excellence
  • Partner closely with clients and internal stakeholders to define scope, set expectations, and proactively identify opportunities for growth
  • Monitor campaign performance and market trends to inform data-driven recommendations and continuous optimization
  • Ensure seamless project execution across timelines, budgets, and vendor partnerships
  • Contribute to new business efforts, including pitches, proposals, and strategic presentations
  • Champion innovation by staying ahead of industry trends and bringing forward-thinking ideas to clients and the team


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • 7 years of progressive marketing experience, with a strong focus on strategy, brand development, and client leadership
  • Experience within real estate or multifamily housing strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to lead integrated marketing campaigns and manage high-level client relationships
  • Strong creative sensibility with the ability to guide and evaluate design and brand execution
  • Exceptional organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities at a high level
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • A strategic thinker with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
