The Opportunity

We are looking for a Software Engineer who has operated at the highest levels of systems and product engineering and is ready for a new category of challenge. Here, you will work on systems where latency is measured in microseconds, correctness is non-negotiable, and the feedback loop between what you build and real-world outcomes is immediate and unambiguous. There is no product roadmap driven by engagement metrics. There is no six-month planning cycle. What You'll Do

• Design and build high-performance, mission-critical systems that sit at the core of the firm's trading and technology infrastructure
• Work across the full depth of the stack - from low-level systems design and concurrency to data pipelines and internal tooling - wherever the hardest problems live
• Collaborate directly with traders, researchers, and quantitative strategists to build systems that translate ideas into execution at speed and scale
• Own large, complex technical initiatives end-to-end - you will architect, build, ship, and iterate without layers of process between you and the work
• Set a high technical bar through design reviews, code reviews, and architectural decisions that will define how the platform evolves
• Bring world-class engineering instincts to an environment where the stakes of getting it wrong are real and the rewards of getting it right are tangible

What We're Looking For

• A track record of building and scaling complex, high-performance systems in a demanding production environment - the kind of work where failure is not an option
• Deep engineering fundamentals: distributed systems, concurrency, systems design, data structures, and the judgment to know which tool fits which problem
• Strong proficiency in C and/or Python, with the ability and willingness to work in whatever language the problem demands
• The intellectual profile of someone who is not just a strong implementer, but a strong thinker - someone who questions assumptions, pushes on design, and arrives at solutions that hold up under scrutiny
• Experience navigating ambiguity and delivering in environments where the requirements are complex and the margin for error is low
• Low ego, genuine curiosity, and the kind of collaborative instinct that makes an entire team better

Nice to Have

• Experience with low-latency or real-time systems where performance optimization was a first-class concern
• Familiarity with financial systems, market data, or execution infrastructure
• Background working on small, elite teams where individual contribution had outsized impact
• Experience with Kafka, distributed messaging, or high-throughput event-driven architectures
