My client, a market-leading, global, multi-billion dollar AUM hedge fund, is seeking a Desktop Engineer to join their London office.
You will take ownership of the maintenance and support of the firm's global end-user technology and VDI environment, ensuring seamless performance across a fast-paced, high-stakes trading floor. In addition, you will provide hands-on telephone and user-facing support to traders, portfolio managers, VIPs, and global offices worldwide.
Key Responsibilities & Technologies
- Administration and support of Windows 10/11 enterprise environments across global offices
- Management and optimisation of VDI infrastructure (Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops / VMware Horizon)
- End-user support across Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
- Device management via Microsoft Intune / SCCM / Autopilot
- Active Directory & Azure AD / Entra ID administration, including GPO management
- Support of trading floor hardware and software, including Bloomberg terminals and low-latency connectivity
- Incident and request management via ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms
- Scripting and automation using PowerShell to improve operational efficiency
You will bring 2-8 years of experience supporting end users in a demanding, high-performance environment - ideally within financial services. Exposure to supporting traders and portfolio managers is highly desirable.
