What are the responsibilities and job description for the Risk Manager (Trading Desk) – Hedge Fund – Up to $300k TC (+relocation) position at Mondrian Alpha?
A high-profile multi-strategy hedge fund, going through a strong period of expansion, are looking to make a newly created Risk Manager hire into its Stamford office.
The remit of the role is broad, supporting risk at both the fund & portfolio level, sat on the trading desk (the Risk team is viewed as part of the front office at this fund) – it covers portfolio risk monitoring, reporting & analysis, managing risk dashboards, market analysis / recommendations to the desk, identifying risks, P&L risk analysis and the development of improved risk frameworks / infrastructure / tools.
The firm are highly quantitative – the hire will have the opportunity to learn / use SQL, Python and VBA to a strong standard in the role.
Candidates should have roughly 2-5 years of experience in a buy-side firm, working in a risk, quant, or a trading function. Advanced coding skills and exceptional academic backgrounds are a pre-requisite.
The role is budgeted to pay up to a $300k year-one total comp. For any individual relocating to Stamford / Connecticut for the role, a substantial relocation allowance will also be offered.
