What are the responsibilities and job description for the State Tested Nursing Assistant position at Monarch Skilled Nursing and Rehab?
Duties:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Take and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse
- Assist with mobility and transfers of patients
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing staff
- Assist with feeding and maintaining proper nutrition for patients
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic medical records systems (PointClickCare)
- Assist with sterile processing of medical equipment and supplies
Skills:
- State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification required
- Experience working with long term care populations and Assisted Living
- Knowledge of airway management techniques, including suctioning and oxygen administration
- Proficiency in using Durable Medical Equipment (DME) for patient care
