POSITION SUMMARY
- Plans, coordinates and evaluates the daily functions of the department personnel.
- Solves basic problems as are pertinent to the routine activities of the department.
- Assists the manager with technical and administrative functions of the department.
- Ensures that high levels of patient care and communication occur in order to meet and exceed hospital Pillar/Strategic goals
- The Nurse Supervisor is encouraged to participate in the Clinical Advancement Ladder for professional development.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
- Current WV State Licensure required:
- Nursing certification in a relevant field is preferred
- Must possess BLS and ACLS within the probationary period.
EXPERIENCE
- Three (3) years of clinical experience within the designated field is preferred.
- One (1) year of previous management experience is preferred.
