WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR
Seeking an incurably curious, great taste, low-ego leader to anchor our longest standing and most dynamic client relationship while mentoring the next generation of talent. If you have exceptional taste, genuine room presence, and believe that making great work should actually be fun, we want you in the room.
Here’s What You’ll Do (responsibilities)
- Act as brand champion, serve as the dedicated strategic anchor for a multi-stakeholder account masterfully managing competing priorities and high-volume demands
- Inject a high standard of taste, cultural relevance and aesthetic curation (across sport, music, entertainment, travel, dining and premium lifestyle), into every deck, pitch, and client interaction
- Act as the primary "keeper and connector" of cross-functional conversations ensuring alignment across internal teams, clients and the IAT in service of our client’s business objectives
- Look beyond the immediate brief to connect dots across multiple business conversations, synthesizing complex information and prioritizing based on audience.
- Serve as a discerning judge of creative and strategic output, ensuring all work meets a high standard of excellence before it reaches the client
- Partner closely with peer leadership to elevate the agency’s output, collaborate on new business, and refine deliverables
- Manage senior client relationships with a high degree of emotional intelligence, maturity, and empathy
- Read the room effectively during client interactions; understand not just what is being said, but the underlying subtext, and maneuver conversations to protect the work and advance business goals
- Masterfully filter out corporate buzzwords to uncover the true business challenge, ensuring the team stays focused on what actually drives results and matters to the audience
- Proactively identify, scope, and pursue organic growth and new business opportunities within assigned accounts.
- Act as a dedicated mentor to junior team members guiding their professional development and growth, cultivating an environment where ideas win, humor is welcome, and psychological safety is paramount
- All other duties as required
- You are a natural dot-connector who asks great questions. You stay hungry for new ideas, cultural shifts, and better ways of doing things, never settling for the "way we've always done it"
- You have an intuitive eye for great work, brilliant storytelling, and clean execution. You know what "good" looks like, and you help the team get there
- You possess the "grown-up" maturity and empathy required to wrangle a chaotic, multi-headed account, but you meet high-pressure situations with a sense of humor, perspective, and grace
- You have genuine room presence and can easily captivate a client or senior stakeholders. However, you leave your ego at the door, choosing instead to lift up junior talent and collaborate fiercely with your peers
- Simply put, you are fun to work with. You realize that making great marketing should be an enjoyable ride, and people genuinely look forward to having you in the room
- 7 years’ experience in brand, experiential or creative strategy within a marketing agency/consultative firm
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Demonstrated leadership and people management skills – able to lead projects independently and manage, inspire and grow a team of highly driven individuals
- Proven track record of reporting directly into senior leadership and C-suite stakeholders
- Experience working with legacy, luxury and lifestyle brands a plus
- Willingness to travel and work non-traditional hours as needed
