What are the responsibilities and job description for the Jr. High Co-Head Softball Coach position at Momence Community Unit School District #1?
Position: This position is for a co-head softball coach for 6th, 7th, and 8th girls.
Expectations: The co-head softbal coach will help athletes improve and develop their skills related to softball. As the co-head coach, your responsibilities include making sure athletes are training and practicing safely, preventing injuries and following all relevant IESA policies related to softball. You will also develop game plans and strategies that help the students improve and provide them with the greatest chance of success. In addition the co-head coach will be in charge of all equipment, uniforms, and field prep for home games, as well as managing the budget that is given to the softball team in coordination with the atletic director.
Goal: Our number one goal for our coaches is to encourage athletes, build character, and to represent our school in a positive way. Winning is great, but we are focused on developing our athletes so they will posess the skills necessary to suceed in life both on the field and off it.
The position will be paid 40% of Level D of the extra duty scale in the MEA teacher contract and the salary will range between $1891 - $3152 based on experience.
