The Coverage Lead Home Delivery Driver will be primarily responsible for supporting open route coverage for scheduled/unscheduled absences for a given territory and support training for new team members.Schedule: 4 Day Work Week (Flexible for last minute coverage of routes)Pay: $19.50 per hourTravel to help cover routes in other territories is required as needed; can be up to 25% travelPosition responsibilities may include, but not limited toTravel to help cover routes in other territories; up to 25% travelSafely operate company vehicle and obey traffic laws at all timesLoad meals into company vehicle at designated cold storage facilityDeliver meals to our clients, often taking meals into clients’ homesMake phone calls to clients when delivery issues arise or if necessary for your regionAccurately and consistently record deliveries on MMHD delivery applicationConsistently follow all food related sanitation/food safety proceduresProvide excellent customer service to clients at all timesInspect, clean, and maintain equipment in a safe operating mannerReport any equipment failures and vehicle damage immediately to supervisor so proper repairs can be scheduled in a timely mannerAssist with vehicle and driver auditsEnsure deliveries occur in compliance with established protocolsManage daily deliveries and unsuccessful/returned productIdentify and complete routine vehicle maintenanceRequired skills and experienceHigh School Degree, GED or equivalentMust possess valid driver’s licenseMust be at least 18 years of age Minimum of 1 year of delivery driving experience Ability to manage time and balance multiple priorities to accomplish goalsExcellent driving (DMV) record Must be able to operate a smart phone and/or tabletAbility to work a flexible schedule including flexible hoursExperience utilizing e-mail and phone calls to communicate effectively Strong, clear communication skills; must be able to speak/read/write EnglishMust be familiar with and comfortable using and following GPS routingBasic math skillsMust be able to drive in various types of weather and traffic conditionsPrior experience adhering to company policies and showing core valuesPass a post offer drug screen and background checkPass a post offer MVR LookupPreferred experience1 year previous supervisory level experience 2 years driving or delivery experiencePhysical requirementsPhysical stamina to stand and walk for long periodsAble to push, pull, and lift up to 40 poundsVisual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focusAble to perform repetitive movementsAble to work in variable temperatures (cold/hot)We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
