Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced compassionate, organized, and detail-oriented Patient Services Associate to join our team. As a vital member of our front office, you will be the first point of contact for patients and play a key role in delivering a welcoming, seamless experience from check-in to check-out. Youll support scheduling, insurance verification, data entry, and administrative functions, ensuring all patient interactions are handled professionally and efficiently. This position requires excellent communication skills, a commitment to confidentiality, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Primary Function:
The Dental Patient Services Associate is responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience by promptly addressing patient needs, facilitating access to care, and maintaining compliance with all organizational policies and regulatory requirements. This role emphasizes exceptional customer service, accuracy in patient registration and documentation, and fostering a positive and welcoming environment for all patients.
The Dental Patient Services Associate (PSA) serves as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience. This role is responsible for accurately registering patients, verifying demographic and insurance information, scheduling appointments, and assisting patients with accessing health services. The PSA plays a key role in supporting patient satisfaction while maintaining compliance with all regulatory and organizational policies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3 years experience in front desk, registration, or patient service in healthcare/dental setting preferred
- Familiarity with patient registration, billing, and insurance verification processes.
- Familiar with dental terminology
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHR systems
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven reliability, trustworthiness, flexibility, and high ethical standards
- Basic typing and computer skills and prior telephone experience
- Ability to problem-solve and prioritize tasks
- Ability to continue a task after an interruption and adaptable to change
- HIPAA compliance a plus
