Responsibilities
- Supervise daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) system management
- Lead and motivate team members through effective training, coaching, and performance management to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service
- Oversee inventory management processes such as stock replenishment, merchandising, purchasing, and inventory control to ensure product availability and minimize shrinkage
- Coordinate scheduling shifts to ensure optimal coverage during peak hours while managing time efficiently
- Conduct employee orientation sessions, interviews, and recruiting efforts to build a skilled and motivated team
- Manage payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, and maintain accurate store records in compliance with company policies
- Implement marketing initiatives and promotional activities to increase sales and enhance store visibility
- Enforce store policies on pricing, cash handling, security procedures, and health & safety standards
Skills
- Strong leadership with proven supervisory or assistant manager experience in retail environments
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to train staff effectively and handle customer inquiries professionally
- Proficiency in retail math for sales management, pricing strategies, and budgeting purposes
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for serving diverse customer bases
- Skilled in negotiation, purchasing decisions, inventory management, and merchandising techniques
- Experience with POS systems, cashiering operations, and wireless sales is advantageous
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Knowledge of employee orientation programs, interviewing techniques, and staff development practices
- Familiarity with retail sales strategies including marketing initiatives and promotional planning
