GENERAL PURPOSE
The Optimizer supports the institution’s vision, mission, and strategic goals by maximizing the effective use of campus facilities in a manner that is financially sustainable, community-focused, and mission-aligned. The role ensures that facility use is well-managed, compliant, and consistent with institutional priorities, helping Molloy steward its physical assets responsibly and advance long-term operational and financial resilience.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
When determining the salary offer for a new employee, Molloy considers several key characteristics such as job knowledge, skills, and experience as well as internal and external equity. The hiring hourly rate for this position is $22.00 to $25.00. This hourly range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting.

GENERAL PURPOSE
The Optimizer supports the institution’s vision, mission, and strategic goals by maximizing the effective use of campus facilities in a manner that is financially sustainable, community-focused, and mission-aligned. The role ensures that facility use is well-managed, compliant, and consistent with institutional priorities, helping Molloy steward its physical assets responsibly and advance long-term operational and financial resilience.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Market and promote campus facilities.
- Develop and implement outreach and marketing efforts to promote institutional facilities to extend organizations and community partners in order to increase third-party facility use and associated revenue.
- Manage facility use requests and scheduling.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for third-party rental inquiries. Coordinate scheduling and space availability in alignment with academic priorities and institutional polices.
- Coordinate with various campus departments.
- Collaborate with academic departments, facilities, maintenance, housekeeping, IT, public safety, campus dining, the compliance office, and other stakeholders to coordinate processes and ensure third-party events are properly supported. This includes but is not limited to submitting facilities, IT, and dining requests; facilitating facility use agreements; verifying insurance; ensuring policy compliance; and coordinating billing and collections.
- Coordinate on-site event support.
- Provide on-site coordinator for select third-party events, including evenings and weekends, to ensure appropriate facility access, adherence to polices, and effective communication with campus service units.
- Track revenue, utilization, and performance metrics.
- Monitor facility use activity, revenue generation, space utilization. Prepare basic reports to inform planning, budgeting, and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's Degree
- 1-3 years of work related experience
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Power Point)
- Web Development
- Ad Astra
- Daily contact requiring courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment.
