GENERAL PURPOSE
The Spirit Store Coordinator is responsible for the daily operations, merchandising, and customer service functions of the on-campus Spirit Store. This role manages branded merchandise sales, inventory control, vendor coordination, and the overall retail experience for students, parents, staff, alumni, and the general public. Including designing all merchandise using knowledge of trends, student feedback and cost with approval from Director of Campus Services and ensuring all merchandise aligns with university brand standards and supports both in-store and online sales initiatives.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
When determining the salary offer for a new employee, Molloy considers several key characteristics such as job knowledge, skills, and experience as well as internal and external equity. The hiring hourly rate for this position is $22.00. This hourly rate represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Oversee daily Spirit Store operations, including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and point-of-sale transactions. Provide excellent customer service to students, parents, staff, alumni, and the general public. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming retail environment. Monitor store performance and recommend strategies to increase sales and engagement.
- Manage inventory levels including ordering, receiving, stocking, and inventory reconciliation. Price inventory appropriately and effectively to account for cost of goods and possible discounts from sales Develop product displays and promotional merchandising to maximize sales. Track sales trends and assist in forecasting product needs.
- In coordination with the Director of Campus Services, communicate with licensed vendors and suppliers to procure branded merchandise. Ensure all merchandise adheres to university brand guidelines.
- Serve as backup for Mailroom activities, including mailing, shipping, sorting, and delivering campus mail and packages Assist customers with over-the-phone/online orders as needed.
- Some College
- 1 to 3 years of work related experience
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Databases (Transact POS/ Similar POS and inventory management systems)
- Jenzabar Software
- Daily contact requiring courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment.
