TYPE OF POSITION/EMPLOYMENT CATEGORY: Full-Time
DEPARTMENT: Nursing Lab/Clinical Learning Center
SCHEDULE: Hours may range from 7:30AM to 8:00PM, Monday through Friday based on department needs.
- Occasional evenings and weekends for department and university events.

HOURS/WEEK and MONTHS/YEAR: 35 hours/week and 44 weeks (10-month position)
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt, Hourly
GENERAL PURPOSE
Assist undergraduate and graduate nursing students with skill practice and competency evaluations in a supportive, student-centered, nurturing clinical environment. Facilitate Simulation-Based Education (SBE) across nursing curricula, including pre-briefing, scenario facilitation, and evidence-based debriefing. Demonstrates flexibility in responsibilities and scheduling to meet the evolving needs of the department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide undergraduate nursing students with structured support to practice nursing skills. Conduct competency evaluations of psychomotor skills, including skill reinforcement and remediation as needed.
- Facilitate simulation experiences, including scenario setup, operation, environment management, learner support, and post-simulation debriefing.
- Support the daily operations of the CLC to ensure efficient, safe, and effective learning activities.
- Assist with maintaining the laboratory environment, inventory of supplies, and functionality of simulation and skills lab equipment.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree (Registered Nurse, B.S.N.
- 5-8 years of work related experience - clinical and simulation experience
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Current knowledge of nursing skills and experience with simulation

- Microsoft PowerPoint

SALARY INFORMATION
When determining the salary offer for a new employee, Molloy considers several key characteristics such as job knowledge, skills, and experience as well as internal and external equity. The hiring hourly rates for this position are $40.00 for the nursing lab instructor role and $50.00 for the simulation facilitator role. This hourly rates represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting.
