TYPE OF POSITION/EMPLOYMENT CATEGORY: Full-Time

DEPARTMENT: Financial Aid

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday (4 days/week:9am - 5pm) (1 day/week: 11am - 7pm)

  • Occasional weekends: Open House, Accepted Students Day

REMOTE WORK: No

HOURS/WEEK and MONTHS/YEAR: 35 hours/week and 52 weeks/year 

FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt, Salaried 

GENERAL PURPOSE

Monitor and oversee work study program. Complete verification for continuing students who are selected for verification after submitting their FAFSAs’. Review all students who have received any Federal Aid within the academic year to make sure that they are meeting the required GPA and completion pace in order to receive federal aid.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Federal Work study program (CFWS) Monitor and oversee work study program. Process the work study payroll. Monitor student and department work study budgets. Supervise work study students. Review submitted work study time sheets for student workers.
  • Verification/packaging Complete verification for continuing students who are selected for verification after submitting their FAFSAs'. Submit corrections on CPS and package students after verification process.
  • Counseling students and parents Meet with students and parents in regard to their financial hardships. Advise students and/ or parents with their financial aid questions. Answering the phones and covering the counter.
  • Satisfactory progress for federal aid and Institutional Aid Review all students who have received any Federal Aid within the academic year to make sure that they are meeting the required GPA and completion pace in order to receive federal aid.
  • Liaison between Advancement for packaging students who have been awarded Continuing student scholarships. 


REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree 
  • 3 to 5 years of work related experience
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word) 
  • Databases
  • PowerFaids

RESPONSIBILITY FOR PUBLIC CONTACT

  • Daily contact requiring courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment.

SALARY INFORMATION

When determining the salary offer for a new employee, Molloy considers several key characteristics such as job knowledge, skills, and experience as well as internal and external equity. The hiring annual salary for this position is between $56,000 to $59,000. This annual salary range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting.
