Qualifications:
- One or more years in Catering Sales or Events, or Group Sales and/or Group Reservations.
- Experience working with clients, vendors, and hotel operations to ensure a seamless experience.
- Knowledge of catering / group, food & beverage, and presentation within a hotel.
- High School diploma or GED. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Hospitality/Sales Experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Able to learn and adapt to different software programs.
- Prior Knowledge of CRM systems.
- Generate revenue by selling and service the local catering market, corporate, and social.
- Responding to Leads in a timely manner.
- Working on-site with group clients.
- Turnover from Sales Manager and Sales Team.
- Acts as a liaison between Sales, Hotel, and client throughout the Event process, pre, during, and post-event.
- Manage group on-site during arrival/check-in, delivering welcome bags, amenities, etc.
- Facilitate a successful hand-off to the operations team with all group details.
- Without in-house groups, focus on catering, food and beverage menus, event details and execution.
- Facilitate pop up events from start to finish and communicate with key team members.
- Work closely with Sales Manager and the Dreamweaver positions to coordinate event details.
- Add amenities, welcome bags, special items for each individual group prior to their arrival.
- Sell MOLLIE Aspen catering and food & beverage services to local businesses and find ways to increase revenue streams.
- Proactively build relationships within the local community to book new and repeat business through various efforts (sales calls, networking, etc.).
- Coordinate all F&B, and event set-up on behalf of Groups, preparing documentation from Resumes to BEOs, and working alongside hotel operations to exceed client expectations.
- Work closely with the Reservations team to examine group pick-up, assess attrition and cancellation, and overall accuracy of room assignments.
- Oversee Catering & Group Billing from the deposit schedule to the final event/group estimator and ensure final bill is accurate before presenting to client.
- Lead and facilitate key meetings (BEO, Resume, Scrub) with other hotel departments to ensure accuracy and questions are answered for execution.
- Coordinate and anticipate needs and specifications of our clients with other departments, respond to customer issues in a timely manner, and ensure a satisfactory experience to enhance future sales prospects.
- Lead Pre-Event and Post-Event meetings when necessary.
- Greet clients upon arrival and turn over details to operations team to execute all details.
- Communicates verbally and in writing with client regarding all event details, and makes presence always known to clients during process.
- Maintain accurate documentation and files on Group to provide history, and prospect for future bookings.
- Utilize upsell techniques to enhance F&B, upgrade room types, and improve overall service.
- Oversee administrative duties from maintaining Banquet Event Order logs and books, updating menus in all platforms.
- Enhance offerings by researching comp set, industry trends, and understand our client needs and satisfaction.
- Enthusiasm and passion for hotel F&B sales and guest service; the ability to connect with people over the phone and in person.
- Detail oriented; able to produce a high-level volume of work while maintaining consistent accuracy.
