Event & Catering Manager
Aspen, CO | Full-Time, Year-Round (Start: Early June 2026)
This is a rare opportunity to lead and execute some of the most thoughtful, creative, annd memorable events in the Roaring Fork Valley, from intimate private dinners to large-scale weddings.
At The Farmer and Chef, we are seeking an Event & Catering Manager to bring our events to life from planning through execution. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on details, loves creating seamless guest experiences, and takes pride in delivering events that feel effortless, elevated, and memorable.
All event sales are handled by our Catering Director: this role is focused on planning, coordination, and execution. There is an optionalopportunity to hone in your sales skills and earn generous commissions by doing so.

We partner with some of the top planners, venues, and clients in the valley to produce events that are both beautiful and deeply connected to place.
What You’ll Do
You will serve as the bridge between client vision and on-site execution. Ensuring every detail is dialed and every event runs seamlessly.
Event Planning & Execution
- Lead planning and coordination for all catering events from post-booking through execution
- Develop timelines, floorplans, and logistics in collaboration with clients and planners- 90% of the admin work can be done remotely.
- Expect 40/60 split between admin work and hands on work
- Oversee on-site event execution, ensuring a polished and seamless guest experience
Client Experience
- Serve as a primary point of contact after booking, guiding clients through details with clarity and warmth
- Collaborate closely with planners and hosts to ensure alignment and trust
Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, and lead front-of-house event staff (Although we already have a very strong FOH team)
- Set the tone for service: professional, detail-oriented, and hospitality-driven
Culinary Collaboration
- Work alongside our culinary team to align menus, service style, and execution
Operational Excellence
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and alcohol service standards
- Oversee beverage and bar service to maintain a high level of execution
What We’re Looking For
- 1 years of experience in event management, catering, hospitality, or restaurant operations
- A strong eye for detail and a natural sense of ownership over your work
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Experience leading teams in fast-paced environments
- A client-focused mindset with the ability to build trust and relationships
- Comfort working evenings and weekends during peak event season
- A genuine appreciation for food, hospitality, and thoughtful service
Compensation & Growth
- Base Salary: $72,000–$85,000
- Performance-Based Incentives & Bonuses: 5% commission on total revenue for bookings that you bring in. Top candidates will earn $90,000-$100,000
- Monthly health insurance stipend: $100/month
