Fiber Installation Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fiber Optic Installation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of cabling systems, including telephone and data networks.

This role requires a strong understanding of low voltage systems, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work in diverse environments. The Fiber Installer will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients receive high-quality service and reliable connectivity.

The ideal candidate will have experience in fiber splicing, network testing, and interpreting technical drawings, with a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, splice, and terminate fiber optic cables in residential, commercial, or industrial environments.
• Perform fusion splicing, mechanical splicing, and testing using OTDR, power meters, and light sources.
• Route and secure fiber optic cables using appropriate tools and materials.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Test and troubleshoot fiber optic systems to ensure performance standards are met.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including test results and network diagrams.
• Follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other technicians to ensure timely and accurate installation.
• Travel to various job sites as required.

Requirements:

• Valid Driver license and social security card with a clean records.
• Have a white minivan or pick-up truck
