Driver – Agriculture Retail

Join our growing agriculture retail team at MoKan Seed and Chemical and play a vital role in supporting farmers and growers across Missouri and Kansas. Drivers will spend their time making deliveries of seed, fertilizer, chemicals, and other ag products while enjoying the freedom of the open road. When not driving, you will get to work hands-on in the warehouse and in the field — mixing fertilizer, operating equipment, treating seed, and assisting with farm operations. Most deliveries utilize company pickup trucks with gooseneck trailers, but does include some semi-work depending on the need.

Class A CDL is required, but we are willing to train any other tasks if you come with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely and professionally deliver seed, fertilizer, chemicals, and other agricultural products to farms, dealerships, and customers across Missouri and Kansas.
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts, skid steers, or other equipment.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate delivery documentation (BOLs, invoices, etc.).
• Mix and blend fertilizers and chemicals according to customer specifications when working in the warehouse/plant.
• Operate seed treaters and assist with seed preparation and packaging.
• Help with warehouse tasks including receiving shipments, picking orders, inventory counts, and general facility maintenance.
• Operate tractors, skid steers, and other farm equipment as needed for yard and loading operations.
• Perform maintenance and minor repairs on equipment as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service by delivering on time, answering basic product questions, and representing MoKan Seed and Chemical professionally at every farm stop.
• Maintain a clean truck and work area while strictly following all safety, DOT, and hazardous materials regulations.
• Willingness to learn farm duties including tractor and implement, grain system, chemical mixer operation.
• Job operates M-F 7:30 am to 5pm, requires overtime, and some weekends depending on season

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with clean driving record required.
• Current DOT medical card (or ability to obtain one).
• Experience driving straight trucks, box trucks, or semi-trucks preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and works well with other team members.
• Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain one) is required. Experience with tractors, skid steers, or other heavy equipment is a strong plus, but willing to train as well.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory, mixing ratios, and shipping documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in record-keeping and order fulfillment.
• Willingness to learn and perform warehouse and farm operations when not on the road.
