POSITION OVERVIEW
We invite you to join our team as a Barista—an ambassador for heritage, hospitality, and the artistry of coffee. In this role, you will craft exquisite beverages, ensure a welcoming space for all, and guide guests on a sensory experience. Your attention to detail, inspiring presence, and respect for tradition will help our café shine as a beacon of shared culture.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Craft and Serve: Prepare and serve a variety of artisanal coffee and tea beverages with skill and care, following our storied recipes and high standards.
- Guest Experience: Warmly welcome and assist every guest; take orders accurately, offer recommendations, and share the origins and stories behind our unique coffees.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the coffee bar, equipment, and seating areas clean, sanitary, and inviting at all times.
- Cash Handling & Inventory: Process cash and credit card transactions with integrity; help monitor stock levels and communicate needs to your team.
- Health & Safety: Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines to ensure the well-being of both guests and team members.
- Legal Compliance: Adhere to all California labor laws, including mandated meal and rest breaks. Overtime is paid at 1.5 times your regular rate for hours worked over 8 in a day or 40 in a week. Paid sick leave is provided in accordance with state law.
