Job Summary
Under the direction of the Business Office Coordinator, the Business Office Technician performs technical accounting and clerical duties in support of District business operations, including payroll support, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and employee benefits processing. The position assists with maintaining accurate financial and payroll records, processing transactions, and providing support to ensure the efficient operation of the District Business Office.
Requirements / Qualifications
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
-Graduation from high school including or supplemented by courses in bookkeeping
- At least ONE (1) year of experience in accounting, payroll, or business office operations preferred.

Comments and Other Information
Benefits: District paid health and life insurance package capped at $17,100.00
Professional Growth: $514 paid annually for each twelve (12) units of approved college courses, adult evening school courses, District-sponsored workshop, institute lecture programs, or other
programs designated by the Superintendent or designee; also, individual study, approved by the Superintendent; maximum of sixty (60) semester hours, to be retro-active
with no time limit.
Longevity: 3% per year beyond last step.
Retiree Benefits: Employees who are at least 55 years of age, have been employed by the District for a minimum of 10 years, and who elect to retire early from employment, shall be eligible to
continue District-paid health benefits for retiree and eligible dependents until the age of 65 or until they become eligible for Medicare, whichever occurs first.
Cross Training Stipends: A monthly stipend of $100 for proven ability to perform the essential functions of a District Office position other than the employee's own position. Pay assumes the
employee's willingness to accept reasonable temporary reassignment to proven positions in order to meet the vital needs of the District. Temporary reassignments must
be accepted in order to continue pay privileges. Pay must be approved by the Superintendent and Board, is not retro-active, and becomes effective following Board
approval. District will determine the number of available stipends.
Dues: District will cover the cost of dues in one professional organization.
