About Mojave Energy Systems, Inc.

Mojave is changing the nature of air conditioning. Air conditioning consumes ~9% of total global electricity production and results in the emissions of 1 billion tons of carbon dioxide annually. It is time for a change, and Mojave’s liquid desiccant air conditioning systems are doing just that. If you want to change the world, starting with the world of air conditioning, then you may belong at Mojave. We are looking for purpose-driven team members who enjoy problem solving, teamwork, and personal growth to join our venture-backed company.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The Bill of Materials (BOM) Technician will serve as the critical link between our Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Production teams, owning the accuracy and integrity of product structures and manufacturing data within our Infor Syteline ERP system. In this role, you will create and maintain BOMs, routings, and item masters; translate engineering intent into accurate, buildable product structures; and ensure that every part number, revision, and routing is correct before work reaches the production floor. You will play a key role in managing engineering changes, maintaining clean and reliable ERP data as designs evolve, and ensuring changes flow seamlessly across all functions.

This is a rare opportunity to join a venture-backed climate technology company at a pivotal stage of growth. We have proven the technology, are rapidly scaling manufacturing and need a highly detail-oriented professional who thrives at the intersection of engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain operations. If you are energized by precision, enjoy solving complex product data challenges, and want to help bring cutting-edge, energy-efficient technology to market while addressing one of the world's largest energy challenges, Mojave offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

This is an on-site position in the Greenville/Anderson/Spartanburg area.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create, maintain, and audit Bills of Materials, routings, item masters, and revisions in Infor Syteline ERP, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all manufacturing data.
  • Process new part setup requests, revisions, and obsolescence, maintaining ERP data integrity to support production scheduling, procurement, and inventory control.
  • Manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), coordinating implementation across Manufacturing, Purchasing, Inventory, and Production, and tracking change status to completion.
  • Enter and maintain manufacturing orders and production transactions in Syteline, reviewing orders for completeness and accuracy prior to release.
  • Serve as the primary manufacturing contact for Design Engineering, translating engineering changes into accurate, released production data.
  • Evaluate the manufacturing and inventory impact of product changes and communicate implementation timelines to stakeholders.
  • Support material planning activities by ensuring BOM and routing accuracy enables reliable MRP outputs; partner with Planning and Procurement to resolve component availability issues, flag lead-time risks, and support production scheduling decisions with accurate product data.
  • Support troubleshooting of BOM discrepancies, missing components, and ERP-related issues.
  • Contribute to lean and continuous-improvement initiatives affecting product data and change-management processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Business, or a related technical field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering support, BOM management, production planning, or an ERP-related role.
  • Experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment required; Infor Syteline experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
  • Familiarity with material requirements planning (MRP) concepts and how BOM and routing data drives planning outputs; experience supporting production scheduling or procurement in an ERP environment preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Bills of Materials, manufacturing/assembly processes, and engineering documentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy are non-negotiable; a single BOM error can halt production, and this role requires someone who takes ownership of data quality at every step. Strong organizational skills; proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve data or process discrepancies.
  • Proven ability to work effectively across cross-functional engineering teams—comfortable operating as a peer to Design Engineers, Mechanical Technicians, Manufacturing Engineers, Buyers, and Production leads, and skilled at translating between technical and operational stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including documentation.
