The Ideal Wood Technician Member Candidate

- Traveling ON TIME to the office with a reliable vehicle
- Traveling ON TIME to scheduled projects using a company vehicle
- Taking accurate measurements and cutting wood for structural repairs
- Replacing or repairing wood girders, floor joists, sill plates and outer rim joists
- Digging footings, pouring concrete, building CMU piers and building supplemental drop girders
- Utilizing jack systems to lift and flatten sagging floors
- Working with pressure treated lumber, engineered wood products and fasteners
- Operating power tools, saws, cutting tools, drills and jacks
- Accurately following the scope of work and being able to read structural drawings
- Following OSHA regulations, building codes and company safety protocol
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening including a background check
- Clean driving record and valid driver's license =
- Able to start work at 7am and work to 5pm, Monday to Friday and occasionally Saturday
- Previous experience in carpentry, framing and foundation repair preferred, particularly in the fields of Construction and Home Improvement
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment
- Knowledge of building codes
- Work is typically performed on all types of foundations and can include working in tight spaces and under houses
- Work requires constant movement, is strenuous, physical and can include standing, bending, crawling, lifting up to 50 lbs., loading and unloading materials, pushing and pulling equipment for prolonged periods
