Senior Investment Analyst
Austin, TX | $90K–$130K Base Bonus
We’ve partnered with a nationally scaled, rapidly growing wealth management organization seeking a Senior Investment Analyst to join its Alternative Investments & Due Diligence team.
This role is a unique opportunity to step into a high-visibility, high-impact position evaluating private market solutions across private equity, private credit, hedge funds, venture capital, and real assets.
As a Senior Investment Analyst, you’ll lead the due diligence process for new and existing alternative investment strategies. You will analyze fund performance, risk drivers, operational structures, fees, and market positioning, while preparing investment memos and presenting recommendations to the Product Committee.
What You’ll Do
Conduct comprehensive due diligence on private equity, private credit, hedge fund, real estate, and venture capital strategies
Perform quantitative analysis including financial modeling, return attribution, volatility measures, liquidity terms, and stress testing
Prepare investment memos, due diligence reports, and presentations for senior leadership and the investment product committee
Present recommendations, defend analysis, and answer technical questions regarding fund strategy and risk
Maintain ongoing oversight of approved funds through performance monitoring, risk reviews, and market-condition assessments
Collaborate with compliance, legal, product, and portfolio strategy teams to ensure platform alignment and regulatory adherence
Track industry trends, regulatory updates, and emerging opportunities across private markets
What You Bring
3–5 years of relevant experience in alternative investments, manager research, due diligence, or asset management
Deep understanding of private market structures, risk frameworks, fee models, liquidity profiles, and operational due diligence
Strong analytical toolkit, including financial modeling and comfort interpreting complex fund data
Experience with tools like Bloomberg, PitchBook, Preqin, FactSet, or similar
Excellent communication skills with the ability to write clear research reports and present complex concepts to internal stakeholders
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field (MBA a plus)
CFA and/or CAIA preferred (or progress toward either designation)
