Industrial Mechanical Maintenance Technician – Third Shift

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Mechanical Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy industrial equipment in a fast-paced steel-processing environment.

• Troubleshoot and repair conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, chains, sprockets, couplings, and rotating equipment

• Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems

• Replace bearings, seals, shafts, rollers, and mechanical components

• Perform motor, pump, and gearbox alignment

• Complete preventive and predictive maintenance

• Perform basic welding, cutting, and fabrication

• Read mechanical drawings, hydraulic schematics, and equipment manuals

• Assist with equipment installations and upgrades

• Identify root causes of equipment failures and help improve reliability

• Follow OSHA and Lockout/Tagout safety procedures

• 5 years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience preferred

• Experience in steel processing, metal manufacturing, stamping, or heavy manufacturing preferred

• Strong experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, and power transmission equipment

• Welding/fabrication experience preferred

• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills

• Trade school, apprenticeship, or equivalent industrial experience preferred

Technicians will work with:

• Steel-processing and slitting equipment

• Conveyors and material-handling systems

• Gearboxes, pumps, bearings, shafts, and couplings

• Hydraulic and pneumatic systems

• Overhead cranes

• Heavy industrial production machinery
