Location: Miami, FL
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday – Friday
Pay: $16.50/hr
We are seeking a compassionate and organized professional to help older adults access critical community assistance programs. This role combines intake coordination, eligibility review, customer service, and case management support to ensure seniors receive timely assistance with essential utility services and other available resources.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with backgrounds in human services, social work, healthcare administration, nonprofit organizations, community outreach, or case management.
Responsibilities- Assist older adults with applications for community assistance programs and available resources.
- Review applications and supporting documentation to determine eligibility.
- Follow up with applicants, community partners, and service providers to gather required information.
- Maintain accurate electronic records and update case management systems.
- Prepare approval, denial, and appeal notifications within required program timelines.
- Track program activity and assist with reporting and reconciliation processes.
- Provide professional, empathetic customer service while assisting individuals experiencing urgent situations.
- Participate in community outreach events, presentations, and resource fairs to promote available services.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to ensure timely delivery of assistance.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable program policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards.
- Support emergency response and disaster relief efforts as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Public Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Associate degree with two (2) years of relevant experience, or High School Diploma/GED with four (4) years of related experience will also be considered.
- Previous experience in case management, intake coordination, eligibility determination, social services, healthcare administration, customer support, or community-based programs.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable working with elderly and diverse populations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Typing speed of 45 WPM preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
