Tamiami, FL | Servicing Miami-Dade & Broward Counties
$28–$35/hour | Full-Time | Field-Based
We are actively seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC-R Service Technician to support commercial clients throughout Miami-Dade and Broward County. This role is ideal for a technician with strong troubleshooting, repair, installation, and chiller experience looking for a stable long-term opportunity with overtime potential and growth.
Spanish bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply, but all candidates MUST be fluent in English.
Responsibilities- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC-R systems
- Service chillers, rooftop units, split systems, heat pumps, and refrigeration equipment
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical system issues
- Perform refrigerant handling and recovery procedures
- Install and program thermostats, including smart HVAC systems
- Complete air conditioning installations and full system replacements
- Service and maintain heating systems and heat pumps
- Fabricate, install, and modify ductwork as needed
- Perform soldering and brazing work
- Conduct ventilation and airflow balancing
- Use HVAC diagnostic tools to evaluate and troubleshoot system performance
- Perform load calculations for proper system sizing
- Read and interpret system layouts, schematics, and basic blueprints
- Ensure all work complies with applicable building codes and safety standards
- Complete preventative maintenance, inspections, and service documentation
- Minimum 4 years of commercial HVAC-R experience
- Strong experience with diagnostics, repairs, and installations
- Chiller experience REQUIRED
- MUST speak fluent English
- Ability to troubleshoot commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems independently
- Ability to read blueprints and system layouts
- EPA Certification preferred
- Experience working with smart HVAC systems is a plus
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- MUST be able to pass a drug screening and background check
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Spanish bilingual is a strong plus
- $28–$35/hour based on experience
