Duties
- Operate and monitor batch plant equipment including mixers, loaders, and conveyors to produce consistent concrete mixes according to specified mixture designs.
- Manage raw material inventory, including aggregates, cement, additives, and water, ensuring proper storage and handling.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on machinery such as concrete mixers, forklifts, cranes, and power tools to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints using CAD software to set up forms and fabrication components accurately for construction projects.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely while handling raw materials or finished products; operate heavy equipment like forklifts and loaders efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols in all aspects of production and outdoor work environments; enforce safety standards among team members.
- Maintain detailed records of batch operations, equipment maintenance logs, safety inspections, and quality control documentation.
Skills
- Proven experience operating heavy machinery such as forklifts, loaders, cranes, and concrete mixers in manufacturing or construction settings.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues quickly and perform basic repairs or coordinate maintenance.
- Skilled in welding, machining, fabrication, and interpreting technical drawings using CAD software for precise construction tasks.
- Familiarity with mixture design principles for concrete production; understanding of concrete forming and finishing techniques.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation, power tool safety, warehouse procedures, and outdoor work environments.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for mixture proportions and measurements.
