GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: The Product Assembler is a team member of the final assembly group and is primarily responsible for daily participation in a mechanical assembly role. This position works under the direction of the Production Supervisor or other manufacturing leaders. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met. Physical activity includes walking, standing, sitting, pushing, pulling, climbing, kneeling, bending, reaching above shoulders, and lifting up to 50 pounds. If work demands require lifting in excess of 50 pounds, the use of a mechanical device or initiation of a two-person lift is required.

WORK ENVI
- Primarily responsible for mechanical assembly.
- Team member of the final assembly group.
- Participate cooperatively in all assembly teamwork, including mechanical work tasks under the direction of the team leader or other manufacturing leaders.
- Use hand tools, power tools, electrical and pressure metering equipment, and overhead cranes.
- Layout and understand sequence of produced assembly.
- Must have proficiency in two post assembly including applying proper decals and inventory numbers.
- Report inventory levels to Team Leader.
- Packaging products for shipment, including but not limited to banding, shrink wrapping, palletizing, etc.
- Actively participate in cross training and continuous improvement assignments.
- Work cooperatively with coworkers including training and knowledge sharing.
- Learn new skills & techniques and equipment operation as assigned.
- Maintain clean and organized work area conditions and comply with safety requirements.
- Receive direction from team lead or other designated leader.
- Perform work in a safe manner, complete all required safety inspections and adhere to safety rules and guidelines including safely operate crane and/or forklift if trained and assigned.
- Maintains conformance with safety rules and regulations, if you are unclear of or uncomfortable with a safety process then you have an obligation to make your supervisor aware.
- It is required that if you see or are made aware of a safety related issue or concern to immediately address it or make management aware.
- Involved with continuous improvement efforts regarding all aspects of safety.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment.
- May work overtime as production needs require.
- Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, and SKILLS:
- Ability to use advanced mechanical tools (air impact tools.) and Overhead Crane.
- Ability to read a basic product blueprint (two post lift).
- Must perform all work duties in a safe manner.
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with management and co-workers.
- Must be detail oriented with attention to accuracy.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English language and be understood.
- Basic shop math.
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
- A minimum of three (3) years experience in a manufacturing environment in a mechanical assembly role.
- Demonstrated experience in building sub-assemblies and/or electrical panels and control enclosures to specifications from engineered drawings and written procedures.
- Knowledge of single and three phase electrical wiring.
- Ability to interpret engineered drawing and wiring schematics.
- Experience in electrical system testing and/or PLC controls.
