Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop engineering staff.
- Oversee hiring, training, performance, and cross-functional communication.
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes and standards.
- Maintain PFMEAs, VSMs, and Standard Work documents.
- Drive Lean, kaizen, and CI initiatives to improve quality, safety, and throughput.
- Conduct root cause analysis and support production issue resolution.
- Support NPI transitions from R&D to full-scale production.
- Manage engineering projects including planning, timelines, and budgets.
- Support equipment quotation, installation, commissioning, and OEM runoff.
- Review PFMEAs, Control Plans, and technical deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with industry and plant standards.
- Provide multi-site troubleshooting and process improvement support.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Manufacturing Engineering (strongly preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in automated, high-speed manufacturing environments.
- Proven success in process optimization with quantifiable improvements.
- Expertise in DOE, SPC, Process Capability, VSM, and Lean tools.
- Working knowledge of PLCs, automation systems, HMIs, control documentation, and troubleshooting.
- Strong mechanical and electrical engineering foundation.
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and lead through change.
- Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent experience (highly preferred).
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience transitioning NPIs into full-scale production.
- Background in solar, automotive, or high-automation manufacturing.
- Prior experience with equipment installation, commissioning, and automation upgrades.
- Multi-site engineering or troubleshooting exposure.
Salary : $100,000 - $150,000
