Job Overview
- This role is responsible for operating pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment, executing batch processes as per SOPs/BMRs, and ensuring compliance with cGMP standards. The Manufacturing Operator II will perform machine setup, cleaning, troubleshooting, documentation, and support continuous production across granulation, compression, coating, and encapsulation areas. The position requires strong attention to detail, ability to handle physical work, and adherence to safety and quality procedures.
- Operate pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment independently (granulation, compression, coating, encapsulation).
- Follow BMRs/SOPs for all manufacturing steps and complete documentation accurately.
- Perform machine changeovers, cleaning, equipment setup, and line clearance.
- Maintain area cleanliness, check pressure differentials, and verify equipment calibration.
- Handle material dispensing, transfers, and in-process checks as per batch records.
- Ensure adherence to cGMP, safety rules, PPE requirements, and compliance standards.
- Troubleshoot basic machine and process issues and support investigations.
- Support production schedules by working extended hours if required.
- Move/lift materials and operate pallet jacks and related equipment.
- Participate in safety programs and maintain disciplined work practices.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years of direct experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Strong understanding of granulation, compression, coating, and encapsulation equipment
- Ability to perform accurate documentation with clear handwriting
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment/process issues
- Knowledge of cGMP, manufacturing practices, and SOP workflows
- Ability to work in powder environments and handle physical tasks (lifting up to 35 lbs, moving 200–300 kg pallet jacks)
- Experience in generic pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Understanding of scientific principles related to manufacturing
- Prior work in high-volume OSD operations
- Ability to work around powder APIs
- Frequent lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and long hours on feet
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and move 200–300 kg equipment with pallet jacks
